Group coaching for people in technical roles who want more than just getting the job done
Applications now closed
You know that thing when you grind through to Friday and look up at the sky on the way home and think, “what just happened?”
Or that other thing where your boss opens her mouth at a meeting again and you judge her and low key want to strangle her and you realize that nothing has changed in the relationship for the last two years?
Or that other thing where you wake up in the middle of the night and can’t go back to sleep because a little voice is saying, “you should be further along by now?”
None of those things have to stay the way they are.
I’ve seen many dozens of people work through these dynamics and harder, in coaching. They come out the other side stronger and freer than when they started. Is life still interesting and hard? Yeah. But once they’ve tackled what had felt intractable, the next “thing” doesn’t hit quite as hard. They know that they can handle what life throws at them.
In that spirit, I’m delighted to announce a new adventure, a group coaching program called “Humans at Work.” Humans at Work starts this September, and the application deadline is August 23. The program is for people in technical or analytical roles who are yearning for more than just getting the job done. The group and I will help you navigate professional challenges, develop your relationships, and know yourself more fully. We'll explore issues like imposter syndrome, partnering with your emotions, and addressing your career motivations, ensuring you don't just survive at work but thrive as a whole person.
Group coaching is special because you get to see other people in similar situations to you. How do they do and feel things similarly, or differently? What can you learn from them? How can you inspire each other? And how do you feel when you know a community has got your back?
Applications are now closed. Stay in touch if you’re interested in offerings like this in the future.
Schedule
We’ll meet weekly for eight weeks over Zoom. Each session is 1.5h long.
We will start on the second week of September.
Structure
The group will have five to eight people in it. It’ll be a new group—most people will be meeting for the first time. If you’d like to participate with a colleague or friend, mention that in your application and let’s think that through together.
In our first sessions, we’ll get to know each other, set our goals, and plan how we’ll work together. Then we’ll get into a flow of working our plan. I’ll facilitate the sessions and bring in resources from my training and experience. I’ll invite and challenge group members to set our direction and share their knowledge as well. We’ll end the series with reflection and celebration.
Though we may share information, we won’t be working from a curriculum. Just like one-on-one coaching, growth in the group comes from exploring together.
How to Apply
First, complete the written application (click “Apply Now” to begin).
Second, have a 15-minute interview with me. I’ll reach out to schedule an interview once I’ve reviewed your application. We’ll briefly get to know each other and make sure this is a good fit.
Then, make a $200 deposit to secure your place.
